Before the joy of Eid al-AZHA arrives, remember the tears behind the sacrifice.

A father willing to give up what he loved most for the sake of Allah.
A son who replied with patience, trust, and complete submission.

Ismā‘īl عليه السلام did not run.
Ibrāhīm عليه السلام did not hesitate.
And Allah honored them both for a sacrifice built upon faith.

Eid is not only about the animal we sacrifice.
It is about sacrificing pride, sins, desires, and everything that distances us from Allah.

‘Then when they had both submitted themselves to Allah…’
— Qur’an 37:103

May Allah give us the obedience of Ibrāhīm عليه السلام and the patience of Ismā‘īl عليه السلام before this blessed Eid arrives.

اَللَّهُمَّ مِنْكَ وَلَكَ
