Tram is one of the Identity of Kolkata. Once Upon Time Tram was one of the Major Transport in Kolkata. After Introduction of Metro Railway &Several Auto Routes Tram service stopped in many Routes in Kolkata.
Nowdays, Government of WestBengal would like to Survive tram As Heritage. They have Decided to JoyRide from Esplanade to Maidan strech.

Kolkata traffic Police have pointed out several times that tram's are creating Jam.

There are two routes are open for tram. Route no 5 &25.
Route no 5 connected with Shyambazar to Esplanade. Kolkata's Major School, colleges, Parks, Cinema Halls are well connected on this route.

In Todays episode we try to show you the importance of this Route & also Notice does only tram create traffic jam in the city.This Video was Shoot During November 2024.

Drawing Room & Bengali Theater Gradually lost from its golden era.
Nowdays Few Halls have stand with their glorius past &others Have Demolished .

Tarak Chatterjee Lane is located Near Sovabazar Sutanuti Metro Station. Tarak Chatterjee Lane Connect's Jatindra Mohan Avenue &B. K. Paul Avenue.

Lots of Eminent Personality of Different Fields was lived in this Lane. Biman Mukhopadhyay the Maestro of Songs of Nazrul Islam. Few yards from His House Late Ramkumar Chattopadhyay the legendary singer &Maestro of Bengali Toppa song also Lived here till his Last Breath.

Sports Journalist &Writter Moti Nandy was also Reside once upon time in this lane also. Even Chinese Wall of Indian Football Gostho Paul also lived with his family. Adjacent to his House another Personality was also lived till her last breath.

Arati Saha, the First asian Women to crossed the English Channel was Also lived. Asia's one of the Reputed Chest Specialist, Dr. Manish Pradhan was also lived here &Practice in the ground floor of his residence.
