কিশলয় এর গল্প শিশুদের শিক্ষার অধিকারের গল্প বলে। বাংলার অচিন গ্রামের এক শিশু এবং সমাজ শোধনের স্বপ্ন দেখা এক গ্রামীণ শিক্ষক গ্রামের অশিক্ষিত মানুষদের শিক্ষার স্বপ্ন দেখায়। রবীন্দ্রনাথ ঠাকুর, বিদ্যাসাগর যে সর্বজন শিক্ষার স্বপ্ন দেখেছিলেন, তা আজও পূরণ হয়ে ওঠে নি। সেই স্বপ্ন আজও জাগরিত এই ছবির পরিচালক সোনা চাঁদ সামন্ত এবং কলাকুশলীদের কাছে।
