যুদ্ধের আগুনে জ্বলছে ধরণী,
লাল রক্তে ভিজে যায় ভূমি,
চিৎকারে ভাঙে নিস্তব্ধ রাতে,
মানুষ মরে যায়, ঘরে ঘরে মাতম।

প্রতিবাদের ঢেউ উঠেছে পথে,
সিংহের মতো গর্জে উঠুক সকল,
অন্যায়ের শিকল ভেঙে ফেলি চিরদিন,
বন্দুকের সামনে দাঁড়াবো অটল।

ধর্ষণের কালো ছায়া ঘিরে আছে,
বিনাশী ব্যথা বুকের মাঝে বাজে,
কান্না আর নীরব চিৎকার ভাসে বাতাসে,
নির্দোষ নারীর চোখে লজ্জার জ্বালা।

এসো, প্রতিবাদ তুলি হাতে,
যুদ্ধের আগুনে দিই নতুন আলো,
সত্যের শিখা জ্বালো অম্লান,
ধ্বংস করো সব অশুভ কালো।

A civic volunteer has been held by Kolkata Police for allegedly ra**ng and murdering a postgraduate trainee doctor in Kolkata's RG Kar medical college. A Kolkata court on Saturday sent the civic volunteer to 14-day police remand.

সন্তোষ মিত্র স্কোয়ারের পুজোর থিম ‘দ্য স্ফিয়ার’ বা গোলক। বিশাল এই গোলকের গায়ে দেখা যাবে নানা রকম ছবি ও আলোর খেলা। আর ভিতরে দেখা যাবে সায়েন্স সিটির স্পেস ওডেসির মতো 11D চলচ্চিত্র।
মধ্য কলকাতার সন্তোষ মিত্র স্কোয়ারের পুজোর জনপ্রিয়তায় গত কয়েক বছরে ভাটা পড়েছে দক্ষিণের জনপ্লাবনে। গত বছর রাম মন্দিরের আদলে তৈরি মণ্ডপের উদ্বোধন করেছিলেন খোদ কেন্দ্রীয় স্বরাষ্ট্রমন্ত্রী অমিত শাহ। মহালয়া থেকে বিসর্জন পর্যন্ত সেই মণ্ডপ দেখতে তিল ধারণের জায়গায় ছিল না। ভিড় সামলাতে হিমসিম খেতে হয়েছে পুলিশকে। উঠেছে বৈষম্যের অভিযোগও। কারণ, এই পুজোর প্রধান উদ্যোক্তা বিজেপি নেতা সজল ঘোষ।

এবার সন্তোষ মিত্র স্কোয়ারের পুজোর থিম ‘দ্য স্ফিয়ার’ বা গোলক। বিশাল এই গোলকের গায়ে দেখা যাবে নানা রকম ছবি ও আলোর খেলা। আর ভিতরে দেখা যাবে সায়েন্স সিটির স্পেস ওডেসির মতো 11D চলচ্চিত্র। সেখানে দুর্গার কাহিনী ও মহিমা নিয়ে চলচ্চিত্র প্রদর্শন করা হবে বলে জানানো হয়েছে।
