Ganga Aarti is one of the most beautiful rituals in India . Hindus believe Ganga is not just a river , she is Ma Ganga who came down from heaven to purify earth.
Sunset is considered a sacred time . Priests welcome the Divine presence and pray for peace , health and protection for all .

Trimbakeshwar Shiva Palki Ride.
The panchamukhi golden crown studded with emeralds and diamonds is placed on the Trideva Linga and then the palki ride moves from the sacred Trimbakeshwar temple to the holy Kushavarta Tirtha where Godavari reappears from Brahmagiri every Monday between 4pm to 5 pm.
This Somvar with Shiva is unchanged since the Peshwa Era mid 1700 s . Devotees make rangolis along the 400 meters path , play Dhol, Nagar and Shehnai and follow the palki with joy .
Being a pilgrim I was fortunate to witness and be a part of this walk during my visit to Trimbakeshwar last Holi.

Lava Monastery. Where lessons echo in the misty hills.
At 7200 ft , more than 110 monks learn ancient Buddhist philosophy - not from books alone but from silence and the mountain winds .
This is faith , taught daily since the inception of this Monastery in the year 1990.
May the blessings of Lord Buddha bring peace in our lives.

Laxman Jhula is where Lord Lakshman crossed Ganga on a jute rope during exile .
Crossing it is believed to burn negative karma and bring you closer to Moksha .
Doing Arti here connects you to that Ramayana energy.

Summer - 6.30 pm
Winter - 5.30 pm
This place is not much crowded , you can easily be there before 30 mins , take your seat on the staircases beside the ghat with magnificent Himalayas at the backdrop and connect with your inner spirit .
