Bob Noorda (1927–2010), a Dutch-Italian graphic designer, shaped modern corporate identity with his minimalist, Bauhaus-inspired style. His notable logos include Mondadori’s timeless Helvetica-based design, Milan Metro’s rejected “M,” AGIP’s refined six-legged dog, Coop’s vibrant redesign, and Lombardy Region’s Camunian Rose. His work on NYC Subway signage and Milan Metro systems earned Compasso d’Oro awards. Noorda’s 170+ logos and teaching legacy continue to influence design with clarity and elegance.

Shin Matsunaga, a prominent Japanese graphic designer, collaborated with the design firm PAOS to create the 1983 Bandai logo. Known for his minimalist and modernist approach, Matsunaga aimed to craft a logo that reflected Bandai's innovative spirit as a leading toy and entertainment company. The 1983 logo, featuring a sleek, stylized "B" with clean lines and a futuristic aesthetic, marked a shift toward a more contemporary brand identity for Bandai, aligning with its growing global presence. Matsunaga’s design emphasized simplicity and versatility, making it adaptable across various media, from product packaging to corporate branding. His work with PAOS, a firm renowned for corporate identity design, showcased his expertise in blending functionality with visual impact. The logo remained in use until 2005, becoming iconic for Bandai’s 1980s and 1990s era, particularly during its expansion into video games and anime-related products.
