Today, the Hon'ble Chief Minister of West Bengal makes a surprise visit to the at Swastha Bhavan!
In a heartfelt gesture, CM Mamata Banerjee urged protesting doctors to call off their strike. "I have come here not as your CM, but as your Didi," she said, empathizing with their struggles in the harsh weather. She assured the doctors that their demands will be carefully studied and promised that no action will be taken against any of them.
Standing in solidarity, she emphasized that "we all want justice" and encouraged the doctors to return home and resume their duties, while hoping the CBI closes the case within three months.

যেখানে একদিকে বিজেপি বুলডোজার মডেল ও আন্দোলনরত ডাক্তারদের বিরুদ্ধে ESMA জারি করছে, আর বাম আমলে জ্যোতি বসুর নেতৃত্বে জুনিয়র ডাক্তারদের উপর লাঠিচার্জ করা হয়েছিল, সেখানে মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায় সম্পূর্ণ ভিন্ন পথে হেঁটে বললেন, "আমি মুখ্যমন্ত্রী হয়ে নয়, দিদি হয়ে তোমাদের পাশে দাঁড়াতে এসেছি।"
সত্যিকারের জননেত্রী কাকে বলে, তা তিনি দেখিয়ে দিলেন।
