সে এক অদ্ভুত সিনেমাওয়ালা।যিনি বলে গেছেন "সিনেমা দেখে যেন মনে হয়, আরে এ তো যেন জীবনের মত সহজ। " বাংলার গ্রামীণ জীবনকে চলচ্চিত্র দেখানো, গহীন থেকে গহীনতর আবেগকে সহজে ছুঁতে পারা..... এক অসামান্য গল্প বলিয়ে যাকে নিয়ে আমরা মাতামাতিটা কম করতাম, হয়তো সিনেমাটা সাধারণের জন্য বানাতেন বলে, বোধগম্য এবং বাণিজ্যিকভাবে সফল হত বলে.....
উনি শুধুমাত্র পরিচালক নন,উনি জীবনের গায়ক,লেখনীতে দৃপ্ত,ব্যবহারে মার্জিত এক অমায়িক মানুষ ছিলেন ।
'জীবনপুরের পথিকে'র এবার 'আলো'র খেলা শেষ করে, 'ভালোবাসার বাড়ি' ফেলে রেখে যাওয়ার পালা, 'দাদার কীর্তি'র আসল দাদাকে এই পোড়াদেশে কখনো 'পথভোলা' হয়ে ফিরে আসার 'নিমন্ত্রণ' রইল।
