About the Book
Children today are growing up in a world of screens, online classes, mobile phones, videos, digital
notes, and long study hours. Many parents worry: Is screen time harming my childās eyes? Are
glasses dangerous? Why is my childās power increasing? When should I visit an eye doctor?
How to Protect Your Childās Eyes in the Age of Screens is a simple, practical, parent-friendly
guide written by Dr Aarofil Shaikh, Consultant Ophthalmologist and Eye Surgeon. This book
explains childrenās eye health in clear language, helping parents understand myopia, glasses, lazy
eye, squint, digital eye strain, allergy, eye injuries, study habits, outdoor play, sleep, and warning
signs that should never be ignored.
Instead of creating fear, this book gives clarity. It explains why children may not always complain
even when they cannot see clearly, why early eye testing matters, and how parents can build
healthier screen-smart routines at home.
The book also introduces NEET BAND, an educational platform that supports students through
study songs and chapter-wise learning tools, helping make revision more engaging, organised, and
less dependent on constant screen staring.
This is not just a book about eyes. It is a practical guide to help parents protect their childās vision,
learning, confidence, and future.
