Wishing Fountain Cake Recipe
Ingredients
For the Cake (2 tiers):
3 cups all-purpose flour
2 tsp baking powder
½ tsp baking soda
1 cup unsalted butter
1 ¾ cups sugar
4 eggs
1 tbsp vanilla extract
1 ¼ cups buttermilk

For the Frosting:
2 cups unsalted butter
5 cups powdered sugar
2–3 tbsp milk
1 tsp vanilla
Optional: light blue food coloring

Decorations:
White and blue fondant
Edible gelatin (or isomalt) for "water effect"
Fondant or gum paste flowers and butterflies
Silver or pearl edible dust
Chocolate coins (optional)

Instructions
1. Bake the Cake Layers:
Prepare two cake pans (8” and 6”) and preheat the oven to 175°C (350°F).
Mix dry ingredients.
Cream butter and sugar, add eggs, vanilla.
Combine dry mix alternately with buttermilk.
Bake, then cool completely.

2. Make the Frosting:
Whip butter, add sugar gradually, mix with milk and vanilla until creamy.
Optional: tint some with light blue for a "water" base.
