We were blessed by a visit by Swami Vivekananda at our Bowbazar studio, presumably in February 1897 for photo session. The second picture bears a signature inscribed using a fountain pen by Swami Vivekananda. On this auspicious day - we share these original photographs from our archives with innumerable followers and disciples. 🙏

Shree Shree Jagadhatri - another divine form of the great goddess. This deity shares similarities with Ma Durga, however, Jagadhatri varies slightly from Durga - here she defeats the elephant demon, Karindrasura, rather than the buffalo form of Mahishasur. Jagadhatri means ‘holder of the world,’ and she is worshipped most heavily in the Bengal region.
