Aditya Bari Kali Puja 2025 Shines with their Innovative Theme
-“Where Sabeki Roots Meet Golden Glitter”
A 300-Year-Old Legacy Illuminates Bengal’s Heritage with a Dazzling Blend of Tradition and Modern Splendour
The iconic Aditya Bari Kali Puja, one of Bengal’s most cherished cultural celebrations with a history spanning over three centuries, returns this year with a theme that beautifully intertwines the classic with the contemporary — “Where Sabeki Roots Meet Golden Glitter.” This year’s concept is a luminous tribute to Bengal’s timeless artistry, blending the traditional spirit of devotion with the elegance and radiance of modern design.
The Aditya Bari Kali Puja stands as a living legacy of faith, art, and community — a tradition carried forward for over 300 years.
Every year, the Aditya family strives to uphold this heritage through themes that celebrate Bengal’s cultural identity while infusing it with contemporary imagination.
This year, Aditya Bari Kali Puja celebrates the divine through a visual prayer that unites faith, design, and emotion. This year’s theme symbolizes the magnificent convergence of Bengal’s sabeki soul (traditional essence) with shimmering modern glamour. The aesthetic heart of the theme pulses with red and gold — red representing the eternal strength of the Divine Mother, and gold embodying divine prosperity and radiance.
The pandal design reflects a celestial fusion of heritage and innovation. Traditional alpona patterns are reimagined with a glittering glow, while gold-flecked drapes, mirrored textures, and luminous backdrops create an ethereal golden ambiance. Each artistic element — from hand-painted motifs to intricate textile layering —pays homage to Bengal’s enduring craftsmanship while transporting devotees into a world where ritual meets radiance.
Speaking about the significance of this year’s theme, Anirban Aditya, Chairman, Aditya Group, shared, “Aditya Bari Kali Puja has always been about honouring our roots while embracing the evolving beauty of culture.
This year’s theme is a celebration of balance — between devotion and design, faith and festivity, heritage and modernity. ‘Sabeki Roots Meet Golden Glitter’ embodies the luminous journey of Bengal’s spirit.”
Adding further, Ankit Aditya, Vice Chairman, Aditya Group, said, “Each year, I approach the theme as a canvas to celebrate Bengal’s living art. This time, red and gold tell a story of contrast
—the nostalgia of our roots meeting the glow of new beginnings. It’s where tradition finds its sparkle and devotion finds its light.”
On this occasion, Kasturi Kejriwal, Chief Operating Officer, Aditya Group, expressed, “For us, Aditya Bari Puja isn’t just an event; it’s an emotion that binds generations. Each year, we pour our hearts into creating an experience that celebrates devotion, design, and the spirit of togetherness. This year, the golden glow reflects the pride we hold in our culture and community.”
The grand celebration was graced by an illustrious lineup of guests, including prominent personalities from the entertainment and business fraternity. Among the attendees were actors Sauraseni Maitra, Neel Bhattacharya, Trina Saha, and Sourav Das, whose presence added to the festive grandeur. Distinguished guests from the business community included Chandra Shekhar Ghosh (Founder, Bandhan Bank), Suvankar Sen (Executive Director, Senco Gold and Diamonds), Debaditya Chaudhury (Restaurateur & Entrepreneur), and Satyam Ray Chowdhury (Chancellor Sister Nivedita University, Co- Founder Techno India Group), amongst many more, each representing excellence in their respective fields while joining in this celebration of Bengal’s cultural pride.
As the night of devotion illuminated the Aditya Bari courtyard, the glowing red-and-gold tapestry stood as a radiant reminder of Bengal’s eternal artistry — where heritage, heart, and hope meet under the divine gaze of Goddess Kali.
