Kalakendram is a fast growing Dance Academy based in Diamond Harbour, South 24 Parganas, West Bengal

Seven talented students of KALAKENDRAM had performed a dance recital at Rabindra Sadan, Kolkata during HELLO KOLKATA EXCELLENCE AWARDS Ceremony.
The performers were Aaradhya Paul, Ishan Sinha Roy, Riya Sinha Roy, Noosrat Sk., Shibani Dolui, Sayantika Ghosh and Koushani Gupta.

KALAKENDRAM is led by Srijita Ghosh, talented actress & dance choreographer.

The group members on stage were presented with Certificates of Appreciation by social influencer Asish Basak, Editor-Director of 'Hello Kolkata".

১২ই সেপ্টেম্বর, আদর্শ শিক্ষক বরুণ বিশ্বাসের জন্মদিন উপলক্ষে 'মর্যাদা সুরক্ষা আন্দোলন পায়রাডাঙ্গা নারী শক্তি'-র পরিচালনায় অত্যন্ত শ্রদ্ধা ও মর্যাদার সাথে শিক্ষক দিবস পালিত হয়। সকাল থেকে সন্ধ্যা পর্যন্ত নানা বর্ণাঢ্য ও কল্যাণমূলক কর্মসূচির মধ্য দিয়ে পুরো দিনটি উদ্যাপিত হয়।
অনুষ্ঠানের প্রথমার্ধ:
সকালে বরুণ বিশ্বাসের মূর্তিতে মাল্যদানের মাধ্যমে দিনের সূচনা ঘটে। এরপর একটি স্বেচ্ছায় রক্তদান শিবিরের আয়োজন করা হয়।
এই পর্বের বিশেষ আকর্ষণ ও প্রধান অতিথি ছিল ফুলিয়া থেকে আগত ১৩ বছরের একটি খুদে শিশু। মরণব্যাধি ক্যান্সারে মাকে হারানোর পর এবং শারীরিক অক্ষমতার কারণে বাবার পক্ষে সংসার চালানো অসম্ভব হয়ে পড়ায়, সে নিজেই পরিবারের হাল ধরেছে। ভোরে চা বিক্রি ও সারাদিন কঠোর পরিশ্রম করার পাশাপাশি সে নিয়মিত স্কুলে যায় এবং পড়াশোনা চালিয়ে যাচ্ছে। প্রতিকূলতার মুখে দাঁড়িয়েও কীভাবে পরিবার সামলানোর পাশাপাশি নিজের শিক্ষার আলো জ্বালিয়ে রাখতে হয়, সে যেন সেদিন আমাদের সেই শিক্ষাই দিয়ে গেল।
অনুষ্ঠানের দ্বিতীয়ার্ধ:
দ্বিতীয় পর্বের শুরুতে আয়োজিত হয় শিক্ষক সংবর্ধনা অনুষ্ঠান। এ বছর প্রথাগত শিক্ষকের বাইরে গিয়ে সমাজ গঠনে বিশেষ ভূমিকা রাখা তিনজন ধর্মগুরুকে 'শিক্ষক' হিসেবে নির্বাচন করে বিশেষ সংবর্ধনা প্রদান করা হয়।
এরপর বরুণ বিশ্বাসের স্মৃতি উদ্দেশ্যে ‘বরুণ বিশ্বাস যুব সম্মান’ প্রদান করা হয়। পরিবেশ রক্ষায় অনন্য অবদানের জন্য এ বছর এই বিশেষ সম্মানে ভূষিত হন পূর্ব মেদিনীপুরের প্রখ্যাত পরিবেশকর্মী শ্যামল জানা, যিনি একক প্রচেষ্টায় ২৮০০-রও বেশি বটগাছ রোপণ করে পরিবেশকে সমৃদ্ধ করেছেন।
পরিশেষে, একটি মনোজ্ঞ ও সুন্দর সান্ধ্যকালীন সাংস্কৃতিক অনুষ্ঠানের মধ্য দিয়ে এ বছরের শিক্ষক দিবস উদযাপনের সাফল্যমণ্ডিত সমাপ্তি ঘটে।

LIONISTIC Salute to TBAAK CARROM 2026.....

HELLO KOLKATA is proud and superrrrr glad to be the Media Partner of an exciting "Carrom Tournament 2026", organized by TBAAK at TAKI BOYS' SCHOOL, SEALDAH on 12 Sep. 6 - 9 pm & 13 Sept., 11.30 am - 5 pm.

There were total 64 participants, from 1985 to 2026 pass-out students of TAKI BOYS' SCHOOL.

This sports program, organised by Taki Boys Alumni Association Kolkata (TBAAK), was supported by transgender activist Rupali Mallick, Ajit Verma (Secretary - SWARNYM Foundation), Dr. Shanoli Ray (Founder - PROLEARNZ, The Finishing School), Master Chef Lawrence Gomes, CA Basudeb Ghosh & Lopamudra Sarkar (Directors of ROTARY CLUB OF KASBA), Surya Roy (Sarothi PR) and Rtn. Sailen Bhowmik (Charter President of Rotary Club Of Calcutta Universe).

6 Mementos, 12 Medals and 20 Certificates were presented to guests and participants by Asish Basak, Editor-Director of Hello Kolkata (3D News, Events, PR & Films).
