A Journey from Reel to Real:
As a child, I was enchanted by the stories on screen and the ones whispered into my ear - a magical world that transcended language and culture. My grandfather's voice in a dim cinema hall in a small town named, Bilaspur, translating tales of faraway lands, and my grandmother's stories that painted vivid pictures in my mind, laid the foundation for my lifelong romance with cinema.
Fast forward to an engineering degree and a career in IT, where logic and code became my new language. Yet, the call of storytelling was too strong to ignore. I dove into screenplay writing, balancing my analytical skills with a surge of creative passion.
The pivot to filmmaking was a natural progression. In 2017, my journey as an independent filmmaker began with my best friend. It wasn’t a path without obstacles, but each challenge was a lesson in disguise, teaching me about the nuances of budgets, production, and the raw reality of bringing stories to life.
Collaborating with an OTT platform peeled back layers of an industry fraught with challenges. The struggle wasn't just in the making of a film but in the very ecosystem that was supposed to nurture creativity. Unreliable collaborators, the shadow of politics, and a system that often overlooked the real artists – these were the hurdles I encountered.
This convergence of my world in IT and film led to an epiphany. Why not harness technology to build a haven for creatives? A platform that truly understands the heartbeat of India's entertainment industry, where talent and passion are the only currencies needed to forge meaningful collaborations.
Thus, Kino Social was envisioned - not as just another platform, but as a mission. A mission to weave a network of trust, to foster a community where creatives from all walks of life, from actors to spot boys, can connect, grow, and thrive together.
As I stand today, at the intersection of my IT background and my filmmaking aspirations, I'm working to bring this vision to life. Kino Social represents the harmony of technology with the human spirit, a place where the dreamers and doers of cinema can find a home.
