HONEST REVIEW SERIES ☕️

☕️ A little coffee, a little comfort, and a café I’ve been visiting for years.

Recently revisited 8th Day Café & Bakery, Southern Avenue, and here’s my honest take.

The Hot Mocha was good, with good-quality coffee, and I liked that they can customize drinks according to your taste. The Lemon Iced Tea was another favourite because it was actually brewed, not the usual packaged/premix version. Fresh, refreshing and well-made. 🍋

The Cinnamon Roll was big, but I found it quite sweet for my taste. The cinnamon flavour was also a little overpowering, and most importantly, the roll needed to be softer and creamier. I’ve had cinnamon rolls at different places before, and what I personally enjoy is that soft, almost melt-in-your-mouth texture where the sweetness, cinnamon and creaminess balance each other. That balance was missing here, which made it feel a little too sweet overall.

I also feel the seating could be cozier, especially indoors where the tables feel quite close together. But one thing I’ve always appreciated about 8th Day is its relaxed coffee-club culture. You can sit with a cup of coffee, chat with friends and take your time without being rushed. Plus, it’s pet-friendly outdoors. 🐾

Overall, considering my recent visit along with my experience with the café over the years, I’d give it 3.8/5 ⭐️. I’d still recommend it for a relaxed coffee, conversations and a laid-back café experience.

Would I go back? Absolutely. 🤎

Pure Comfort 🤎

The cinnamon roll was big, generously iced and definitely indulgent, but honestly, it felt a little too sweet for me. The cinnamon flavour was also quite overpowering, and because the roll wasn’t as soft and creamy as I would have liked, the sweetness stood out even more.

I’ve tried cinnamon rolls from quite a few places before, and what I usually enjoy is that soft, creamy texture tha

🍫 KitKat Formula 1 Chocolate Tin

This one definitely caught my attention because of the Formula 1 collaboration and that really cool reusable tin. 🏎️🍫

You get 10 individually wrapped chocolates, and while I genuinely liked the taste, don’t expect the usual KitKat wafer experience. These are more chocolate-forward with rice crispies inside, which gives them a nice crunch without making them overly sweet.

The presentation is honestly one of my favourite things about this pack, and the tin is something you can actually reuse later. But at around ₹363 for just 10 pieces, I do think it is on the expensive side, especially considering the chocolates are quite small.

So, keeping the taste, packaging and price in mind:

⭐ My Ratings

Overall: 3.5/5 ⭐
Packaging: 5/5 📦
Presentation: 5/5 ✨
Taste: 4/5 🍫
Value for Money: 3/5 💰

I liked it, but would I buy it again at this price? Probably not. 😅

Have you tried this KitKat Formula 1 edition yet? Would you spend around ₹360 on 10 chocolates, or would you pick something else instead? Let me know! 👇

Some evenings call for slowing down —
and tasting something new.

✨ Soulclickstudio Recommends | Honest Reviews

• Beer: Oettinger Black Beer
• Taste: Bittersweet, slightly herbal
• Body: Light to medium, not too strong
• Finish: An acquired taste — reminded me of Ayurvedic cough syrup (bresol syrup )

Personally, it wasn’t my favourite —
but if you enjoy bittersweet, herbal notes, this might just be your kind of pour.

⭐ My rating: 3.5 / 5

Not every beer has to be a love story.
Some are just… experiences worth trying once.

If this feels like your kind of evening:
• save it for later
• share it to your story
• tell me — should I try another dark beer next?

There’s something oddly satisfying about watching a dark beer being poured. 🍺

The colour is deep, the froth builds up nicely, and visually, Oettinger Black Beer definitely knows how to make an impression.

Unfortunately, the taste didn’t quite match the visual appeal for me. 😅

The flavour was bittersweet, unusual and honestly reminded me of Ayurvedic cough syrup.

Beautiful pour. Not my kind of flavour.

A little moment with a beer that turned out to be quite an experience. 🍺

The appearance? Dark and rich.
The aroma? Okayish.
The froth? Pretty decent.
The strength? Light to medium.

And then came the taste. 😭

Definitely an acquired taste, because personally, I couldn’t get past that bittersweet, cough-syrup-like flavour.

Would I recommend it? I wouldn’t say that.

I’d simply say: try it if you’re curious, and decide for yourself.

That moment when you’re expecting one thing from a beer and get something completely different. 😂🍺

I gave Oettinger Black Beer a proper try, but unfortunately, it just wasn’t for me
