"Expression 2025” — A Magical Journey of Abstract Emotions in Frames!
A Unique Visual Art Exhibition Begins at Academy of Fine Arts, Kolkata

From June 13, the Academy of Fine Arts, Kolkata, is hosting ‘Expression 2025’—a photography exhibition that transcends the ordinary. This is not just an exhibition of images, but a soulful journey blending art, emotion, and spirit. As the fourth annual exhibition of the photography group Expression, it takes viewers beyond the visible into a world of deeper perception and introspection.

Founded in 2005 by just four passionate photography lovers from different walks of life, the group has grown into a platform of evolving visual language. Over the years, these artists have not only mastered the craft but created a new dimension in photography—where every image tells a story and touches the core of the viewer’s heart.

The photographs on display are far from static representations of reality. They emerge as abstract expressions of inner vibrations, where light, shadow, curves, and colors combine to create frames that demand to be felt as much as seen. As many visitors express, “Photographs are not merely to be looked at, they are to be experienced.”

This year’s special theme centers around the emotive and aesthetic depiction of nature, carrying a compelling message: “Protecting nature is the key to protecting ourselves.” It’s a reminder that art and responsibility must go hand in hand in the contemporary world.

The exhibition is open to all from 12 PM to 8 PM daily and will continue until June 19. Art lovers, photographers, and curious minds alike are encouraged to visit and experience this thought-provoking and enchanting celebration of photography.
