২০১০ সাল থেকে প্রতি বছর দীপাবলির দিনে যদি কেউ নিয়মিতভাবে স্বর্ণে ১০,০০০ টাকা করে বিনিয়োগ করতেন, তাহলে সেটি ইকুইটির তুলনায় অনেক ভালো রিটার্ন দিত। এভাবে ধারাবাহিকভাবে বিনিয়োগ করলে মোট ১.৫ লাখ টাকা আজ বেড়ে দাঁড়াতো প্রায় ৪.৪৭ লাখ টাকায়।

অন্যদিকে, একই সময়ে প্রতি বছর নিফটিতে ১০,০০০ টাকা বিনিয়োগ করলে সেই অর্থ আজ দাঁড়াতো প্রায় ৩.৭২ লাখ টাকায়।

অর্থাৎ, ২০১০ সাল থেকে প্রতি বছর ১০,০০০ টাকা বিনিয়োগ করলে স্বর্ণে বিনিয়োগের মূল্য প্রায় ৪.৫ গুণ বেড়ে যেত, যেখানে নিফটির ক্ষেত্রে বৃদ্ধি হয়েছে প্রায় ৩.৭ গুণ গত ১৫ বছরে।
