Few weeks back we ran a random open poll for all the music lovers of this city and outside to find out their choice of 6 artists/bands for a festival in Kolkata. We called it

To our utter surprise, we had received 500+responses from all over the country. Most of those responses are from the fans who want to watch live musical performances of their favourite artist/band.

So live music is not dead at all. So now when most of you are done choosing your favourite bands, understand this, that it will require money to do this. So let us know how much you as the member of the audience would like to pay for watching your favourite artist/band perform live.

Another excerpt of the interview of Arijit by Humans of Music during the tour.

Most of the professionals I met through my journey were actually very interested in regional music, so when I happened to show them my english music, they indirectly told me to screw myself. They told me to try and form my own record label, and they said they'd give me material and that I could record and produce it. So in 2015, Amuze records started and I released the first foxtrot the same year - I recorded 4 bands live for the first foxtrot, and we had a small gig later in Calcutta. It was small but the impact was huge. Rolling Stone India and Rock Street Journal wrote articles on it, and we were told that it was the first album of its kind, as it involved a lot of improvised jazz as well. I don't believe in labelling music at all, though. My music differs so much, one song would sound punk, one song would sound like classic rock, and one song would like metal - and that's why when people ask me what kind of artists I work with, I just say 'Whatever I feel like!' That's what the foxtrot project was about, almost a potpurri of kinds. - Arijit Chakraborty (Label owner at AMUZE Records, Kolkata)
