TV Series Premiere: November 12, 1999, on Cartoon Network.

Storyline:
The show follows Courage, a small, easily scared but very brave pink dog, who lives in the middle of "Nowhere" with an elderly couple Muriel (kind and loving) and Eustace (grumpy and mean). Strange, creepy, and supernatural things happen around them, and even though Courage is terrified, he always finds a way to save his owners.
Tone:
It mixed horror, comedy, and emotional themes something very rare in children's cartoons at that time. It often had surreal and even unsettling stories, but always had heart and humor underneath.
Fun facts:
The inspiration for Nowhere came from real stories about mysterious happenings in Kansas, USA.
Despite being "for kids," the cartoon is famous for some truly scary episodes!
The voice of Courage (after the pilot) mostly involved him mumbling, squealing, and making expressive noises these were voiced by the creator himself, John R. Dilworth!
