The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced a major overhaul in the way exam centres will be assigned for key national-level entrance tests such as JEE Main, NEET-UG, and CUET-UG. From the 2026-27 academic session, candidates will no longer be allowed to choose their preferred exam cities. Instead, centres will be allocated strictly based on the address mentioned on the candidate’s Aadhaar card, the agency said in an official notice
