കോട്ടയം: ലോട്ടറി വിൽപ്പനക്കാരനാണെന്ന് വ്യാജേന വിൽപ്പനക്കാരിൽ നിന്ന് ലോട്ടറി ടിക്കറ്റുകൾ മോഷ്ടിച്ച് വീണ്ടും വിറ്റ കേസിൽ ഒരാൾ അറസ്റ്റിൽ.
🎟️ ഇടുക്കിയിലെ കൊടിക്കനാലിൽ നിന്നുള്ള ബിജു (39) എന്ന പ്രതി, ദുർബലരാണെന്ന് തോന്നിയ കച്ചവടക്കാരെ ലക്ഷ്യം വച്ചുകൊണ്ട് ടിക്കറ്റുകൾ മോഷ്ടിക്കുകയും പിന്നീട് സംശയാസ്പദമായ വാങ്ങുന്നവർക്ക് വിൽക്കുകയും ചെയ്തതായി റിപ്പോർട്ടുണ്ട്.
💰 The stolen tickets included ten Onam bumper tickets taken from Kottayam city, with the proceeds from the sales allegedly used for alcohol and other expenses.
🚨 Many victims unknowingly purchased the stolen tickets, believing they were legitimate, as the accused posed as a legitimate lottery seller.
🔍 The police, led by Kottayam West Inspector K.R. Prashanth Kumar and SI T.G. Rajesh, arrested the suspect after reviewing CCTV footage that captured the thefts.
📹 The investigation was aided by identifying the suspect through video footage from Kottayam, leading police to focus their search on bus stands and other locations where he was known to frequent.
🕵️♂️ Biju had previously been involved in a POCSO case, which helped police track him down more effectively.
