🚗 Hyundai has announced a long-term plan to strengthen its presence in the Indian automotive market, with a commitment to launch 26 new vehicles by the 2029-30 fiscal year.
🔋 The lineup will include six battery electric vehicles and 20 internal combustion engine vehicles, as stated by Tarun Garg, Chief Operating Officer of Hyundai India.
🌟 Hyundai is also considering introducing its luxury brand, Genesis, to compete with established premium brands like Mercedes, BMW, and Audi in the Indian market.
📈 Although the share of premium vehicles in the market is relatively small, Hyundai anticipates favorable conditions due to economic changes that could enhance their participation.
🏭 The vehicle manufacturing plant being built in Talegaon, near Pune, is expected to be completed by the 2025-26 fiscal year, significantly boosting Hyundai's production capacity.
📊 Once operational, the plant will increase Hyundai's annual production capacity to 994,000 units, with projections to reach 1,074,000 units upon full operation.
