🎵 “When I Stand, I Fall” ✨
🧠 (Song of a Spinal CSF Leak Warrior) 🩸
Verse 1
When I rise, the world turns gray,
My head feels heavy, fades away.
But on my back, I breathe again,
Relief in stillness, not in strain.
My neck is stiff, my shoulders cry,
My spine feels broken, but I try.
A ringing hum fills up my ear,
Yet no one sees, no one hears.
Chorus
When I stand, I fall inside,
With pain and pressure I cannot hide.
They say it’s nothing, just in my head,
But every step feels filled with lead.
I whisper truth they can’t recall…
This is life with a leak so small.
Verse 2
My sight is blurred, the lights too bright,
Each sound a thunder in the night.
My stomach turns, I fight to speak,
This body’s strong—but still, I’m weak.
I stumble more, I lose my place,
My mind a fog I can’t erase.
A numbness crawls through limbs and face,
And yet, they doubt this unseen case.
Bridge
No fever, no cast, no broken skin,
But oh, the storm I hold within.
From spine to skull, this silent thief,
Steals my joy and tests belief.
Final Chorus
But still I rise, though slow and small,
And dream of standing strong and tall.
For every leak that goes unheard,
I sing the truth in every word.
So if you’re lost and feel alone…
Hold on, dear heart—you’re not unknown.
