DC Kulgam reviews village-wise progress of AgriStack, SVAMITVA mapping, other Revenue matters
Sets daily targets for timely completion
KULGAM, AUGUST 06: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Shahzad Alam, today chaired a comprehensive review meeting to assess the village-wise progress of the AgriStack initiative, ground truthing/verification of SVAMITVA Maps, sub-parcelization of cadastral maps, and other key revenue-related matters in the district.
The meeting was attended by District Prabhari Officer Khalid Majeed, Additional Deputy Commissioner Vikar Ahmad Giri, Assistant Commissioner Revenue Reyaz Ahmad Shah, all Patwaris and other concerned officers.
During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner conducted a detailed village-wise and Patwari-wise review of the progress achieved under the AgriStack project. Patwaris apprised the chair about the status of digitisation and online onboarding of agricultural records in their respective jurisdictions.
Emphasising the importance of timely completion, the DC fixed daily targets for each Patwari regarding the online onboarding of village-wise AgriStack data and directed them to submit daily progress reports. Senior Revenue Officers were instructed to closely monitor the progress and ensure the completion of the digitisation process within the stipulated timelines.
The Deputy Commissioner also reviewed the progress of ground truthing and verification of SVAMITVA Maps, sub-parcelization of cadastral maps, and the preparation and submission of SVAMITVA Maps Version 1.0 and 2.0. He stressed the need to expedite the field verification process and the sub-parcelization exercise to ensure accurate spatial and ownership records. He further directed the concerned officers to complete all pending ground verification, finalize the sub-parcelization of cadastral maps, and submit the pending SVAMITVA 2.0 village maps to the Survey of India without delay.
Speaking on the occasion, the DC reiterated that AgriStack, SVAMITVA, and the sub-parcelization of cadastral maps are key initiatives aimed at creating transparent, accurate and technology-driven agricultural and rural land records, thereby strengthening land governance and improving public service delivery.
Calling for a mission-mode approach, the DC directed all Revenue Officers and field functionaries to work with dedication and coordination to achieve 100 percent saturation of these initiatives at the earliest while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and quality in the data and maps.
