The annual Urs Mubarak of Hazrat Baba Naseeb-ud-Din Gazi (RA) was observed with great devotion and spiritual fervor on Saturday, 14th June 2025, at Bijbehara in Anantnag district.

Hundreds of devotees gathered to pay their respects and participate in the spiritual celebrations. One of the key highlights of the Urs was the traditional "Raqs" (spiritual dance), performed as a symbol of love, devotion, and unity.

The main musical instrument used during the Raqs is the "Dhol", and the devotional dance is known as "Dhamali". The tradition of performing Dhamali traces back to Hazrat Baba Naseeb-ud-Din Gazi (RA) himself, who was known for promoting spiritual expression through music and dance.

Historically, the sound of the Dhol would echo through the village, drawing people from their homes. Moved by devotion, they would gather and perform Dhamali together, expressing their love for the saint in various forms of spiritual dance.

Even today, this age-old tradition of Dhamali continues, keeping alive the spiritual legacy of Hazrat Baba Naseeb-ud-Din Gazi (RA). The event not only serves as a moment of religious reflection but also as a reminder of unity and collective spiritual energy.
