Lebanese fatayer 🫔🇱🇧
Recipe:
1/2 cup maida
5-6 tblspn olive oil
1 tspn yeast
1/4 cup finely chopped capsicum
1/4 cup finely chopped tomatoes
1/4 cup pepperoni/chicken
Hell lots of morozella cheese
Garlic mixture with oregano and melted butter and olive oil
Method:
Activate the yeast by adding mix the yeast with sugar in a lukewarm water for 5 min.
In a bowl mix the maida with the activated yeast and 2 tblspn olive oil, salt as per taste and knit a soft sticky dough and pat 2-3 drops of olive oil on top of the dough and let it ferment for 2-3 hours.
Pre heat the oven for 5 mins @ 200⁰c
Now make equal portions of dough into 5-6 balls, and make a into the shape a thin roti.
Then apply the Garlic butter mixture on top of the roti and add on your filling that is cheese, chopped tomatoes and capsicum, pepperoni/chicken.
Now fold the roti and keep slightly open in middle. Coat the fatayer with garlic and Oregano butter and olive oil mixture with extra zatar and sesame seeds
Bake the fatayer on a tray in oven at 200⁰c for around 20 mins!!!
