From Storytelling to Entrepreneurship: The Inspiring Journey of Nayeem Magray
Born on 08 March 2007 in Kandi Khass, Handwara, Kupwara, Nayeem Magray has quickly risen as one of Jammu & Kashmir’s youngest and most promising entrepreneurs. He is the proud curator of Brainwaves by Nayeem, a storytelling platform that brought him recognition across the Valley. His unique style of narration made him the first storyteller of Kupwara, and one of his most popular works — the story of the Lavender Farm in Natnussa, Kupwara — went viral, earning lakhs of views and bringing attention to local culture and heritage.
Alongside storytelling, Nayeem showed strong leadership early in life. During his school years at BHSS Kandi Khass, he served as Secretary four times, building confidence and communication skills that later helped in his entrepreneurial journey.
Currently, Nayeem is pursuing B.Sc. Zoology at Kashmir University, where he balances academics with his ventures. His hard work and determination even earned him a place in the IAF CAT 26 intake, though his selection was declined by his mother due to ongoing tensions in J&K.
On the business front, Nayeem is the founder of Station Group of Companies. His first flagship outlet, Glow Station Beauty & Cosmetics, was inaugurated on 18 August 2025 at Hajaj Market, Kupwara, Kashmir. With this step, he officially entered the entrepreneurial world, blending creativity, branding, and business sense to set an example for other Kashmiri youth.
From being a Village-town boy with a passion for storytelling to becoming a youth icon and budding entrepreneur, Nayeem Magray represents the spirit of a new Kashmir — innovative, determined, and forward-looking. His journey continues to inspire countless young people to dream big, work hard, and create change in society.
