Macadamization of Town: It is good to see that concerned department will start mecadamization on roads . Why AEE, R&B Div kupwara has repeated to macadamise roads during night hours ? Macadamize can be laid during day time with diversion of traffic . We have to be very carefull & to supervise the macadamisation of roads as per the techanicaly sanctioned estimates. Keep your Eyes open and the process should be start as per the estimate and Rules.

Kupwara, April 22:
The Young Journalist Association Kupwara strongly condemns the brutal terror attack on tourists in Pahalgam. *Such inhuman and cowardly acts targeting innocent visitors are deeply disturbing and aimed at disrupting the peace and normalcy in Jammu and Kashmir.*

*The association expresses its heartfelt solidarity with the victims and their families during this tragic time and urges the government to take swift and stringent action against those responsible for this heinous act.*

Violence has no place in our society, and the association stands united against all forms of terrorism and extremism.

Kupwara, April 14: *The Young Journalist Association Kupwara, led by *President Ulfat Hussain Malik and General Secretary Sagar Rafiqvisited the residence of senior journalist Bhat Muzaffar to express their heartfelt condolences and stand in solidarity with him during this difficult time.*

The YJAK extended their sympathy and support to Bhat Muzaffar and his family, offering prayers for strength and comfort as they navigate this period of grief. The association acknowledged Bhat Muzaffar’s valuable contributions to journalism and assured him that the *young journalist association* YJAK stands united with him.

Young Journalists Association Kupwara held election of its office bearers

Kupwara, April 07: *Young Journalists association Kupwara(YJAK)* held its yearly general body election for 2025 on Monday at Dak Bangalow Kupwara.

*There were two candidates in fray for presidential post including Ulfat Hussain Malik, consequently Ulfat Hussain malik was declared winner as he bagged 15 votes of total 18 polled.*

Meanwhile *Sagar Rafiq who was the single candidate in fray for general secretary post was declared uncontested new general secretary of young Journalists Association Kupwara. Senior journalist* *Waseem Majnoon Mir has been unanimously selected as chairman of YJAK Murtaza Mushtaq As vice president, mean wile Mubashir Gull has been selected as Chief spokesperson and Mohd Hussain Mir As spokesperson.*

Speakers on this occasion expressed gratitude to the participating journalists for making the elections a grand success and resolved to strengthen the association, besides to fight for freedom of the press at all levels.

*On this occasion, the Kupwara handwara based journalists vowed to help in solving the grievances* of locals and issued an appeal to the people to contact "The young *Journalists Association Kupwara"*( YJAK) in case of their genuine grievances.

Newly elected president *Ulfat Hussain Malik in his speech thanked all the members for showing faith on him*. He took pledge to work for the welfare of all journalists in district.

A committe of *five members had been rendered the responsibility of conducting election. The members included. Wasim Majnoon Mir, Tahir Hussan Bhat, And Murtaza Mushtaq.*

Kupwara Match 21: Young Journalists Association Kupwara (YJAK) has authorized Journalist Rafeeq Ahmad Dar joined YJAK as member.

Pertinent to mention here that Rafeeq Ahmad Dar, has worked as senior correspondent JK Fact. He has also served the people of his district kupwara as social worker .

*Kupwara Police Organizes Thana Diwas*

Kupwara, [13-03-2025] – Continuing its efforts to enhance public engagement and address community concerns Kupwara Police conducted ‘Thana Diwas’ at Police Station Kupwara, Police Post Teetwal and Police Post Machail.

At Police Station Kupwara, the Programme was held under the Chairmanship of Mohd Rafee Rather JKPS, DySP HQRS Kupwara. The Program was also attended by Ms. Goldy Sharma, DySP(P) and SHO Yasir Rashid PS Kupwara. The event saw an active participation from residents under the jurisdiction of PS Kupwara including civil society members, Shopkeepers, Retired Officers and local youth. Community members were assured that their concerns would be taken up with the relevant departments for necessary action.

At Police Post Teetwal, Thana diwas was held under the supervision of Gh Mohi-din, SHO Karnah. There was an interaction with locals who raised issues related to policing, infrastructure development and public amenities. Concerns other civic issues were also discussed and assurances were given for appropriate coordination with administrative authorities. The importance of community participation with accountability and transparency in maintaining law and order was also emphasized.

At Police Post Machail, SI Abdul Majid interacted with the locals, where they shared grievances regarding day-to-day policing matters and sought better engagement for resolving public concerns. Police officers encouraged citizens to cooperate in maintaining peace and security while ensuring that their feedback is taken into account in policing strategies.

All the participants were encouraged to seek police assistance without any hesitation. Kupwara Police reiterated its dedication to strengthening community-oriented policing, addressing public grievances effectively and ensuring legal awareness among all sections of society.
