The Opening Ceremony of new Dojo of Sonada Branch was successfully organized today on the 12th of July 2026 at Sonada, Near Petrol Pump. Sri Debendra Kr Pradhan glorified the program as a Chief Guest who is the In charge of Darjeeling District 'Rasthya Swyamsewak Sangh'(RSS). Sri Deo Kr. Pradhan was the Guest of Honor. Sri Sumesh Tamang, Sri Kewal Narayan Pradhan, Sri Suman Gurung and Parents were among the guests who were present in the Opening Ceremony of Sonada Dojo of Martial Art's & Fitness Academy.
Smt. Pramila Pradhan who is the Founder Treasurer of the Academy and Smt. Kalpana Chettri, Director of MAFA inaugrated the New Dojo. The students performed various demonstration in front of the Guests followed by snacks. The students who have appeared for the 1st level Grading and passed the Belt exams was also awarded with Yellow Belts and Certificates from the Chief Guest & Guest of honor.
Sensei Sandeep Gorkha Pradhan, Chairman of M.A.F.A. informed that he has introduced Judo & Mixed Martial Art's (MMA) also at Sonada Branch so that people of every age can learn how to defend themselves and youths can get engaged in physical activities rather than to get hooked with mobiles. Youngsters shall be provided platforms to prove their efficiency in Fight Sports and they can also compete in higher levels championships. He also said that in coming days he will introduce Zumba for ladies so that our society remains healthy. He also said that the best students who wants to pursue their career in Fight Sports shall be given Job opportunities observing their performance and conduct like the way the Academy has already provided jobs to 7 students who passed out from the Academy.
