Limestone mine expansion in dispute
Rajgangpur, May 19 (IANS) The district administration's role in blocking the Patratoli-Khatkurbahal road, which is an obstacle to the expansion of Shiva Cement's limestone mine, has been questioned by the district administration. The main protagonist of the incident is Khatkulbahal Sarpanch. It is alleged that the ambassador provided the information to Hussein. The Patratoli-Khatkulbahal road (account no. 406, Gram No. 136, 1.36 acres), which was attached to the limestone quarry at Shiva Cement, was first passed to the Sarpanch Gram Sabha on August 15, 2016. The Sarpanch said in his proposal that the expansion of the Patratoli-Khatkulbahal road would pose a threat to the people in the coming days. "It simply came to our notice then. Only 1 month after the first proposal, i.e. 23
In September 2016, the local sarpanch rejected the proposal in the village council due to protests from villagers. Now the question arises as to how the administration provided the company with the road for mining expansion. The Khatkulbahal Panchayat should hold a real village meeting on behalf of the Khatkulbahal Panchayat. Not only has the district administration now provided the road to the company, it will acquire the famous Jagannath Temple, 3 schools, panchayat offices, weekly bazaars, ponds and dams in Khatkurbahal in the coming days. The administration is likely to come face to face with Khatkurbahal Janita. Authorities opposed the protest with all available police forces, special services and the army, "said Roni Bar-On, a Member of the Knesset for Kadima. Therefore, with the acquisition of land and public hearings, it is imperative that the district administration consult with the people.
