Devoting his life to alleviating the suffering of others, Lama Lobzang lay tirelessly worked to provide aid and comfort to those in need. Whether organizing medical assistance for the sick or simply offering a listening ear to those in despair, his unwavering commitment to compassion knew no bounds.

Lama Lobzang's legacy of empathy and service will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. Though he may no longer be with us, his spirit of generosity and care will continue to inspire acts of kindness and solidarity in our community.

Congratulations to Cadet Deachen Chuskit Ley from the people of Ladakh!

JUO Dechen Chuskit of 1 Ladakh Bn NCC has made us proud by receiving the Raksha Mantri Padak from Sh. Rajnath Singh Ji Hon'ble Defence Minister. She is the first cadet from Ladakh to achieve this, adding to the honor of our newly formed Union Territory. This accomplishment is especially remarkable as only 2 cadets in the whole country have been awarded this distinction.

𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐑𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐞

𝐋𝐞𝐡, 𝐉𝐚𝐧 𝟐𝟎,𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒: A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed between National Institute of Sowa-Rigpa, Leh and National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER), Hyderabad at NIPER Hyderabad on January 19.

The aim of MOU is to foster and promote academic and research collaborations, faculty and student exchange, teaching programmes, and a proposal to facilitate the preservation, promotion and development of the Sowa-Rigpa System of Medicine as a model evolving high standards of teaching, training, research and to invoke scientific outlook to the knowledge of Sowa-Rigpa.

The MOU is signed on behalf of NISR Director, Leh Dr. Padma Gurmet, and NIPER Director, Prof. Shailendra Saraf.

The MOU will give opportunity for faculty exchange and collaborate to identify need-based, demand-driven, sustainable education programs to be delivered through e-learning, distance education and regular modes going forward.

It was informed that NIPER Hyderabad will provide training in research techniques in Molecular Biology, Neurosciences, Pharmacology, Toxicology, Bio-analytical studies, medical devices and other related areas and opportunities to undertake electives for BSRMS students at NIPER Hyderabad.

Also, it was informed that NISR would facilitate research at NIPER Hyderabad by providing clinical material, Materia Medica-Plant Kingdom, Metal, Mineral and Animal Kingdom, Therapeutic principle, External and Rejuvenation Therapy and samples from NISR through this partnership.

𝐋𝐞𝐡, 𝐃𝐞𝐜 𝟐𝟖, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟑: The Royal Enfield in collaboration with the Department of Youth Services and Sports UT Ladakh and Ice Hockey Association of Ladakh organised a road show from NDS Sports complex, Leh to main market, Leh in connection with the organization of first ever Royal Enfield Ice Hockey Super League at Leh from January 3 to 13.
The road show commenced at the NDS Sports Complex, Leh, and culminated in the main market, Leh, covering key locations to build anticipation for the upcoming extravaganza.
The Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC), Leh, Sonam Chosjor flagged off the procession, emphasizing the significance of hosting the first-ever Royal Enfield Ice Hockey Super League in Ladakh.
During the event, the jerseys for the 15 participating teams from Ladakh's seven zones were officially handed over to their respective captains. Representatives from the Royal Enfield Social Mission, executives of the Ice Hockey Association of Ladakh, and distinguished sports personalities from the region were present to grace the occasion.
It was informed that the primary objective of the Royal Enfield Ice Hockey Super League is to discover and promote budding talent in ice hockey from Ladakh's diverse zones.
