Spring Onion Curry Aka Eerulli kavu Gojju or eerulli hoovu gojju – a yummy Karnataka style curry made from spring onion .This dish is a real treat to all those who love the combination of Sweet ,Sour & spicy !!! A great accompaniment with ubbu Rotti / chapathi/plain rice /dosa /Idly.

INGREDIENTS

2 cup spring onion, chopped
1 big size tomato, chopped
2-3 tsp Jaggery, +/- based on your preference
Lemon size Tamarind
1/2 tsp Turmeric Haldi
Salt to taste
For the masala
1/2-3/4 cup coconut grated
2 tsp Urad Dal
1 tsp chana dal
1/4 tsp methi
1/2 tsp Jeera
1.5 tsp sesame seeds/ Til ( white )
4-8 nos Red Chilli as per your preference
few Curry Leaves
2-3 tsp Ghee / oil
to temper
1 tsp Mustard seeds
a small pinch Hing /Asafetida
few Curry Leaves

Veggie loaded Masala Khichdi is a healthy ,tasty and one of the most comforting dish anytime . Enjoy it hot with ghee drizzled on top .😋...tastes so so good

Ingredients
1 cup Small grain rice ( i used Jeera rice)
1/2 cup moong dal
Wash and drain rice

Use choice of veggies like beans carrot peas gobhi knol khol etc

In cooker add
3-4 tsp oil+ 1 tsp ghee.
1 bay leaf + 1 pc Cinnamon + 3-4 cloves+ 1-2 elaichi
1 tsp Jeera
Pinch Hing
Saute few seconds
Add 1 Onion+ 1 tsp GG Paste+ 3-4 green chilli
Saute translucent
Add 1-2 tomato..fry soft
Add Veggies, tsp salt, haldi 1/2 tsp Red chilli powder. Fry 1 min
Add rice+ moong mix.. fry 1-2 mins
Add 5.5-6 cup water ( 1:4 proportion)
Salt, 1/2 tsp garam masala pwd, tsp ghee
Mix. Pressure cook 2 whistle
Allow to cool.
If khichdi is little thick..add Little hot water and mix.
Enjoy hot with a drizzle of ghee, papad and pickle on side.
