Girls can save the world. A little girl from Prague has helped security researchers discover and flag seven scam apps on the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store. These apps had been downloaded over 2.4 million times and the creators of these malicious scam apps had earned more than $500,000 (that’s ₹3.7 crore approx) before being pulled down, as per SensorTower reports. These seven apps were adware scams that appeared as wallpaper, music or entertainment apps.

Surprisingly, these apps were promoted on social media platforms like Instagram and TikTok and targeted kids mostly. These apps were managing to successfully stay hidden till this little girl reported a TikTok profile promoting one of the apps to Avast’s Be Safe Online project in the Czech Republic. This particular project of Avast’s educated children on how to stay safe online.

Reliance Jio has partnered with Panasonic Avionics Corporation subsidiary to launch in-flight services for Jio Post Paid Plus users. This means that if you are a Jio Post Paid Plus user and are travelling abroad, it will be possible for you to stay connected with voice and data services on a flight. Also mentioned is that this feature is not just limited to people travelling abroad. Once this service is available in the Indian airspace, Jio customers will have first access to them when travelling within India.

Right now, there are three Jio in-flight packs:

The ₹499 plan give you 250MB data with 100 minutes of outgoing calls and 100 SMS. The ₹699 plan brings 500MB data along with 100 mins of outgoing call and 100 SMS. The ₹999 plan will include 1GB data, 100 mins of outgoing calls and 100 SMS. All this will be valid for one day.

An international arbitration tribunal ruled that India’s efforts to claim ₹20,000 crores ($2.7 billion) in past taxes were in breach of fair treatment under the bilateral investment protection pact between the south Asian nation and the Netherlands, according to a lawyer representing the company in the case. The tribunal has also asked India to halt its efforts to claim the tax dues. India can appeal.

Shares of Vodafone Idea Ltd., Vodafone’s money-losing India unit, jumped 13% in Mumbai on Friday after CNBC-TV18 reported the ruling, their biggest gain since September 3.

The ruling may ease the burden on Vodafone’s India venture at a critical time when it is already facing a demand for billions of dollars in back-fees, which India’s Supreme Court ordered it to pay last October in a separate case. The joint venture between Vodafone and billionaire Kumar Mangalam Birla’s conglomerate has been weighed down by a $7.8 billion bill from the government -- biggest among peers -- posting eight straight quarterly losses and holding over $14 billion of debt.

Facebook has announced $4.3 million ( ₹32 crore approximately) for over 3,000 small businesses across Delhi, Gurgaon, Mumbai, Hyderabad, and Bengaluru.

The grant includes cash and ad credits with cash constituting majority share. Facebook said that the grant programme is available to small businesses across sectors. The company clarified that those who apply for the grant do not need to have Facebook apps. Also, they are free to do what they can do with the grant money after release.

“India has a thriving startup culture, and we have the potential to be the next hub for digital innovation, pushing business models that can be scaled to other similar markets. The 60 million small businesses in India are a key growth driver for the economy, fueling innovation and disruptive business models. They enable a reduction in income inequality, create new jobs, and contribute 30% to the GDP,” wrote Ajit Mohan, MD and VP, Facebook India in a post.
