Nonsense? Seriously? Imagine standing guard in one of the most sensitive regions of the country, far away from your family, enduring extreme weather, constant security threats, and unimaginable uncertainty so that millions of citizens can travel, celebrate holidays, and live their lives in peace.

Then imagine being told that a temporary security restriction is 'nonsense' by someone enjoying a vacation in the very region those soldiers are protecting.

The irony is hard to miss.

Rights and freedoms matter. So does the right to question inconvenience. But there is a difference between questioning a situation and dismissing the people whose sacrifices make that journey possible in the first place.

The roadblock may have delayed a holiday. The men standing there have put entire lives on hold.

Calling that 'nonsense' reflects failure to appreciate the realities of national security and the sacrifices made every day by those in uniform.

If governments could be brought down by protests alone, then the Bharat Jodo Yatra or the farmers' movement would have already achieved that. Narendra Modi did not become Prime Minister by accident. More than half a billion Indians voted for him. If anyone wants to remove him from power, the democratic way is simple: convince the voters and defeat him in an election.

At the same time, the anti-Hindu and anti-India slogans reportedly raised by some participants during the CJP protest at Jantar Mantar have once again highlighted why many voters continue to see the BJP as the preferable choice among imperfect political alternatives. If the Opposition hopes to change the national mood, it has much more work to do. Aligning itself with elements perceived by many as extremist or anti-national is unlikely to win over the broader electorate.

Bro should have hesitated 💀

Context: Abhishek Banerjee, the national general secretary of the All India Trinamool Congress and nephew of Mamata Banerjee, was allegedly attacked by a crowd during his visit to Sonarpur in South 24 Parganas, West Bengal, on May 30, 2026.

According to reports, Abhishek Banerjee had gone to meet families allegedly affected by post-poll violence after the recent West Bengal Assembly elections. During the visit, a large group of protesters gathered, raised slogans like “chor, chor,” and surrounded his convoy. Videos from the spot showed chaos as eggs, stones, and bricks were allegedly hurled at him.

Banerjee later claimed that the attack was “pre-planned” and alleged that the attackers intended to kill him. He said a brick hit near his eye and accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of sponsoring the attack. He also stated that the entire incident had been captured on camera and that he would move court over the matter.

The BJP, however, rejected the allegations that it orchestrated the attack. According to BJP leaders quoted in reports, the incident reflected “public anger” against the TMC leadership rather than a planned political assault.

The recent political developments in Tamil Nadu and West Bengal have sparked a major debate over constitutional morality, acceptance of public mandate, and opposition politics.

In Tamil Nadu, actor-turned-politician Vijay’s party emerged as the single largest party with 108 MLAs, creating a major political upset in the state. However, despite emerging as the biggest party, Vijay has reportedly been struggling to prove majority support before the Governor as post-poll alliance negotiations and political uncertainty continue. The situation has triggered intense discussions over government formation and coalition politics in the state.

At the same time, another dramatic political situation unfolded in West Bengal. The BJP secured a massive victory in the Assembly elections, while Mamata Banerjee’s TMC suffered a major defeat. Despite losing the election, Mamata reportedly refused to immediately accept the verdict and resign, alleging conspiracy and questioning the mandate.

This political atmosphere gained more attention after Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav visited Mamata Banerjee in Kolkata and publicly backed her. During the meeting, Akhilesh reportedly told her, “Didi, you have not lost.”
