A wolf's vengeance | एक भेड़िये का प्रतिशोध |
"Why did a wolf take revenge, in a forest a female wolf gave birth to four cubs. One day the cubs came out of the cave and were playing when some hunters were coming towards the forest with guns."
While walking in the forest, the hunters saw a cub. One of the men was about to go ahead and pick up the cub when the female wolf came in front of him and started growling loudly.
The other man got scared seeing this scene and he shot the female wolf with a gun. The female wolf got badly injured and she let out a loud sound.
On hearing this voice, the male wolf immediately reached there. Seeing this scene, he pounced on a boy in anger and killed him right there.
On seeing the brutal murder of his son, the father of that boy got very angry. He took out his gun and killed the wolf and its three cubs right there.
Vikramaditya was a legendary king as mentioned in ancient Indian literature, featuring in traditional stories including those in Vetala Panchavimshati and Singhasan Battisi. Many describe him as ruler with his capital at Ujjain.
He is famous for his justice. The king of Ujjain, at last, sat on the judgement seat of Vikramaditya.
Vikramaditya conquered several powerful kingdoms in the Indian subcontinent, including the Shakas, the Huns, and the Mlechhas. His military conquests are said to have established him as one of the most powerful kings of his time.
According to popular tradition, Vikramaditya began the Vikrama Samvat era in 57 BCE after defeating the Shakas, and those who believe that he is based on a historical figure place him around the first century BCE. However, this era is identified as "Vikrama Samvat" after the ninth century CE.
