The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) recorded a massive 68% drop in political donations for the 2025–26 financial year, receiving ₹12.10 crore compared to ₹38.10 crore the previous year. The sharp slump followed the party losing power in the Delhi assembly elections in February 2025.
According to AAP’s Election Commission filing, nearly 83% of the total funds came from just two donors: Prudent Electoral Trust and Trident Limited, each giving ₹5 crore. Interestingly, former AAP spokesperson Ashutosh Ranka was among the 1,202 listed donors, contributing ₹21,100. Meanwhile, party chief Arvind Kejriwal contributed ₹30,000, and former Delhi Chief Minister Atishi gave ₹42,000.
