Breaking:|| ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿ‡ฒ๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ‡ฑ๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ณ US President Donald Trump's recent meeting with five West African leaders in Washington, D.C. highlights the strategic importance of the region's natural resources in global politics. The leaders of Gabon, Guinea-Bissau, Liberia, Mauritania, and Senegal attended the summit, which focused on strengthening economic ties, particularly in trade, investment, and critical minerals. Gabon, for instance, is the world's second-largest producer of manganese, a crucial mineral used in stainless steel and batteries. The U.S. is keen on securing access to such resources, which are essential for technological advancements. China has already established itself as a dominant player in the region, with significant investments in infrastructure, extractives, and strategic sectors. For example, China has built Guinea-Bissau's only highway and key fishing port, while Russia has ramped up engagement with Senegal, becoming one of its largest suppliers of oil. The Trump administration's approach emphasizes commercial diplomacy, seeking to accelerate U.S. trade and investment in Africa. This strategy aims to counterbalance China's growing influence on the continent. However, the potential expansion of U.S. travel bans to 36 countries, including several in West Africa, poses a significant challenge to strengthening economic ties. Nigerian Foreign Minister Yussuf Tuggar expressed concerns that such restrictions would hinder deals between West Africa and the U.S. Despite these challenges, West African nations are eager to engage with the U.S. on energy and rare earth minerals. For instance, Senegal and Gabon are rich in critical minerals like phosphate, zircon, and titanium, making them key players in the energy transition and green energy value chains. The outcome of this summit will likely have significant implications for the future of U.S.-Africa relations, particularly in terms of economic cooperation and competition with China and Russia. As the U.S. seeks to reassert its influence in the region, African leaders will need to carefully navigate these relationships to maximize their countries' interests. ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿ‡ฑ๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ‡ฒ๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ

Nigeria's fuel is priced at $0.586 per litre. Ethiopia and Liberia are the only non-oil-producing countries among Africaโ€™s top 10 cheapest fuel markets.

That means there is still fuel subsidy in our country...

Breaking:|| ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ท Iran has acquired Chinese-made HQ-9B long-range surface-to-air missile batteries, according to Arab intelligence officials cited by Middle East Eye. The shipments were completed after a June 24 ceasefire that ended a 12-day war with Israel, during which Israel heavily damaged Iranian air-defense infrastructure.

*Key Features of HQ-9B Missile System:*

- *Range:* 260 kilometers
- *Speed:* Mach 4.2
- *Guidance System:* Inertial guidance, mid-course uplink, and terminal active radar
- *Warhead:* 180kg high explosive fragmentation
- *Radar System:* HT-233 S-band phased array radar with 360-degree surveillance and tracking capabilities.

Iran aims to restore air-defense coverage eroded by Israeli strikes on missile launch pads and radar sites. The acquisition is part of Iran's efforts to rebuild its air defense capabilities and enhance its military posture in the region. Iran is reportedly paying for the systems with crude oil, expanding an oil-for-arms trade that circumvents U.S. sanctions. China already buys roughly 90 percent of Iran's exports, giving Beijing a ready means of settling the transaction. The deal underscores deepening military cooperation between Beijing and Tehran, amid continued pressure from Washington. The HQ-9B system is also in service with other countries, including Pakistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Morocco, and Egypt. Its deployment in Iran adds to the country's layered defense network, reducing dependence on politically restricted suppliers. ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ณ

Breaking:|| ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง๐Ÿ‡ฏ๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡ญ ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡น The US is flexing its naval muscles in the South China Sea, a region of ongoing territorial disputes, particularly with China. Recently, Japan, a key US treaty ally, conducted a naval exercise with NATO member states, the UK and Italy, in the contested waters. The exercise, which focused on maneuvering, aimed to enhance cooperation between the three navies and promote a "free and open" Indo-Pacific. Japan views the South China Sea issue as a legitimate concern for the international community and frequently dispatches naval ships to the region while China claims sovereignty over most of the South China Sea based on "historic rights," which overlap with neighboring countries' claims. The US and it's alllies conduct naval war games in the South China Sea, exercising freedom of navigation in international waters including UK and Italy also participating in naval exercises to promote stability and security in the region. The Japanese frigate JS Yahagi, the British patrol ship HMS Spey, and the Italian frigate ITS Antonio Marceglia sailed in formation during the exercise. The UK's HMS Prince of Wales, a naval strike group, is set to deploy to the Indo-Pacific region for an eight-month mission. China has previously denounced naval activities by foreign countries in the region, citing undermining of its maritime rights and interests. ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡น๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡ญ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿ‡ฏ๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ

Breaking:|| Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva opened the BRICS conference, using his address to criticize the current state of multilateralism amid recent global conflicts.

Addressing leaders from 11 emerging BRICS nations gathered in Rio de Janeiro on Sunday, Lula asserted that "we have witnessed an unparalleled collapse of multilateralism," 80 years after the defeat of fascism and the creation of the United Nations. He further warned that "hard-won advances, such as climate and trade regimes, are under threat."

In his speech, Lula strongly denounced Israelโ€™s bombing of Gaza, urging the world to intervene and halt what he characterized as an Israeli "genocide."

"We cannot remain indifferent to the genocide carried out by Israel in Gaza, the indiscriminate killing of innocent civilians and the use of hunger as a weapon of war,โ€ he told assembled leaders from China, India and other member nations.

He added that a resolution to the conflict "will only be possible with the end of the Israeli occupation and the establishment of a sovereign Palestinian state within the 1967 borders."

Lula also "denounced violations of Iran's territorial integrity" and emphasized the urgency of "deepening direct dialogue in Ukraine to achieve a ceasefire and lasting peace."

He urged the BRICS group to actively promote peace and mediate international conflicts.

"It is always easier to invest in war than in peace,โ€ Lula remarked, adding that "the fear of a nuclear catastrophe has returned to everyday life.โ€

The Brazilian leftist leader further reaffirmed the bloc's strategic importance in the global economy and its commitment to a development model characterized by fairness, sustainability and inclusivity. He emphasized the group's potential to spearhead structural transformations and enhance cooperation among emerging economies.

Breaking:|| ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ท Iran has received advanced Chinese surface-to-air missile batteries, bolstering its air defenses following a fragile ceasefire deal with Israel. This development underscores China's growing strategic ties with Tehran and signals Iran's determination to enhance its military readiness. The Chinese missile batteries are seen as a significant upgrade to Iran's air defense capabilities, potentially compensating for losses incurred during recent Israeli airstrikes. Israel's recent attack reportedly destroyed Iran's strategic air defense capabilities, including long-range surface-to-air missile batteries, severely hindering its ability to produce new ballistic missiles. Despite these setbacks, Iran is determined to respond to the Israeli attack and is actively assessing the situation to determine its next course of action. China's decision to supply Iran with advanced missile systems reflects the strengthening ties between the two nations, potentially altering the regional security dynamics. The move is likely to impact the balance of power in the region, particularly in light of the ongoing tensions between Iran and Israel, and could influence future military strategies and diplomatic efforts. ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ณ
