DMC&H, has set new benchmarks in neonatal care by introducing advanced neonatal equipments in its Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
The unit is now equipped with Portable Otoacoustic Emissions (OAE) for early newborn hearing screening, Giraffe Hybrid Incubators and Radiant Warmers for the care of premature and critically ill neonates, Amplitude-integrated EEG (aEEG) for newborns with birth asphyxia and seizures, and a servo-controlled therapeutic hypothermia system for managing hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy (HIE).
Recently, a round of the NICU was conducted by the management team and Medical Administrator of DMC&H, including Sh Bipin Gupta, Secretary DMC&H Managing Society; Sh Mukesh Verma, Treasurer, DMC&H Managing Society, DMC&H Managing Society; Dr GS Wander, Principal, DMC&H; Medical Superintendents Dr Ashwani K Chaudhary and Dr Sandeep Sharma; Dr Kamal Arora, Professor, Dept. of Pediatrics and reviewed the advanced facilities and ongoing care provided by NICU.
