Some people are sharing news about Lakshadweep without knowledge. So I thought I should share some:

1. You cannot enter Lakshadweep without entry permit. Even if you are an Indian Citizen, you need to obtain permit from Govt. of Lakshadweep.

2. You need police clearance certificate from Commissioner of Police from your city.

3. There is only one flight from Kochi to Lakshadweep and that too a small one which has 70 seats. So basically each day only 70 people can go to lakshadweep by flight which takes about 1 hour journey.

4. About 650 passengers can go by government run ships, which takes about 18 hours journey. Private ships need special permission to enter islands.

5. There are about 36 islands and visitors can visit only 4-5 of them.

6. There is no drinking water. The drinking water is processed through desalination process.

7. Liqour is banned in lakshadweep

8. 96% of the lakshadweep population is Muslims

So basically folks, you can't just pack your bags and land in lakshadweep like in goa or any other part of India. And I also feel that all these companies are trying to mint the controversy created by Maldives by trying to be in news.
