Suffering is something every human faces — but are all sufferings truly bad? In this episode, we explore suffering from a biblical perspective, uncovering how pain can sometimes carry purpose, growth, and even hidden blessings.
We discuss five dimensions of suffering:
1. Sufferings as a consequence of our sin – when our choices bring pain, yet point us back to repentance.
2. Sufferings as a result of the fallen world – the brokenness of creation that leads to sickness, disasters, and struggles.
3. Suffering for growth and refinement – how trials mould us into stronger, wiser, and more compassionate people.
4. Sufferings that seem painful now but are blessings in disguise – stepping stones that prepare us for something greater.
5. Sufferings for the sake of Christ – when enduring hardship becomes a testimony of faith and devotion.
This conversation invites you to rethink suffering — not just as pain to be endured, but as an experience that can shape, refine, and draw us closer to God’s purpose.
