The flickering neon sign of "Sam's Sub Shop" cast a warm glow on the rainy street. Sam, the owner, was known for two things: the best Italian subs in town and his unwavering trust.
One slow Tuesday, a delivery truck broke down right in front of the shop. The driver, a young woman named Maria, looked stressed.
