Since my childhood, I have been capturing the beauty of the life and natu

re around me. Be it the soaring waves and the shimmering stars or the people in the streets of my locality and my travel trips, I have always been fascinated by the charm of the unique visual stories that everything around us conveys us. Exploring various creative fields indeed amazed me with the subtle connection every other thing had with each other. Music, dance, photography, filmmaking, sketching, writing, etc everything is so interconnected.

First video with the NID Fam. This will be special. ❤️✨

It’s just a series of illustrations infact, with a soundscape design. 😅
Thanks lovelies for making the last few days fun with long 3 hours of life intros and infinite discord calls! 🤣

I am so stunned to see the work by the other teams though!!!! Crazy talented peeps indeed.

From building websites with before - after images and hard core color analysis and surveys to touching socially sensitive topics like usage of female condoms, gender nonconformity, the whole fam has been doing some good stuff undeniably! Some of the experimental ones like Plum and cute ones like Honeydew were so good and explorative!!

Some of my favourites being, Orchid, Bubblegum, Aubergine, and Carnation!!

Discovered some lovely VO talents 🌻

I found a recent exercise we did in NID quite refreshing!! It was about choosing a color for your own place. And then selecting an undisclosed partner and writing about the color you associate with their place. Later I could compare if the color I picked for their city matched/ differed from their perception.

The perception bias was very evident. Esp when the actual residents of the place deviated from us in their views.

It was about unlearning some color perceptions that have influenced our minds over time. Maybe it's due to the way we consume media and books.

To an outsider, Bangalore might be just an IT Hub filled with tall grey buildings. But some Bangalore friends mentioned that they associated red, yellow, and even purple with Bangalore!! That was insanely surprising to me.
Similarly, I associated Kolkata with yellows only, maybe due to the yellow taxis. But my b**g buddies mentioned grey for Kolkata. That was something interesting!!

Why do you think you chose a particular color for a specific place?
No hard and fast rules. Just share your personal feeling of why it made you choose the same.

Thanks you .journey for this interesting exercise and the feedback session. ✨✨

Sharing with you the icebreaker speech I had prepared yesterday night for today’s session in Toastmasters! It is my first speech in TM. Though it was a prepared one I was a nervous and faltered quite some time since I was referring to the notes and underlines points so as not to miss out any interesting points.

Public speaking is something which has been in my wishlist since long. I just love having a good time with my audience and listeners. And attention in this age is short. So you have to be really good with the stories and eloquence. And even your non verbal gestures!!

In my college days there was a senior of mine, Leo Paulose, whom I used to look up to a lot for his prolific eloquence and stage presence. Sadly he is no more with us. But anytime I write something about Toastmasters, he flashes in my mind. I don’t want to make this post a sad one and kill the humour in the writing. But yeah that’s what it is. Makes me feel how fragile life is. And how it’s important to acknowledge the privilege of a good health and money. And try to experience whatever the best we can in the time are out here.✨

Anyway, too much stuff for a single post. I hope I improve with time and feel a lil less nervous in every upcoming session of Toastmasters. ✨🌼
Cheers,
TM Abodid 🤍

Loved the way you put this up Tarun! :)

If mistakes are repeated, it’s thoughtless disengagement.

Really wish this meet had happened in the campus. 🥺✨♥️

Shameless Curiosity. 🤍

- ✨

There is no higher way of learning than simply being shamelessly curious. You may sound dumb, people might troll, but sadly there is no other way to expose yourself to new ideas and grow exponentially!!!

If you can ask your dumb questions to google shamelessly, why leave out the people around you?

It’s the 3rd day today. Probably just around 910 more days to go. Time is so seamlessly consistent that it won’t wait to see what I make out of these 910 days. It just moves on. All I wish for is a healthy mind and body to imbibe the shower of knowledge and wisdom this little cozy corner in Ahmedabad has to offer.

Anyway, this post was just to keep a note here and remind me of the why, everytime I feel a little lost. Remind me of those days in 2017 and 18 when I had once tried to be a part of these lanes. Remind me of my privilege and responsibility.

Thanks to all the wise words shared by .rengarajan from @ amit gulati from .inc and many more.. who have been inspiring us since a week and helping us feel the warmth of the bigger fraternity of NID.

This was just a happy little post. For some serious thoughts that I had been mulling over since last few months before I joined, head over to the highlights ‘NID’.

Cheers to my younger self. Love you! ❤️
Gracias. ✨

My happy place. ✨🥺♥️
12th Sep, 2021

The way you stare into my eyes all night long,
The way you play my fav songs ,
The way you let me see myself,
The way you bear all my taps and clicks silently,
The way you lit up the space with your warmth,
The way you whisper only to my ears when I wear you,
Thank you for being that silent friend of mine, selflessly helping me learn and grow. ✨♥️ 👬

If you believe it hard enough you'll feel it. :)

It’s been about a decade now since I had discovered this magical duo. And honestly they have inspired me in every phase of my life since then. Sometimes music speaks to us in ways we can’t even comprehend in words.

In Alan Watt’s words, “ it’s a marvellous patten of sounds that does not mean anything, but it you believe it hard enough you will feel it.”

Have cried to it, have laughed to it, have just sat numb to it, have danced to it. Have dreamt to to, have lived to it. ✨🙏

I know you probably won’t read this, and chances are IG might even ask me to take this down. But someday if we meet, I will scroll down to this post in my feed and share a sweet little story of inspiration and emotions with you. ♥️

Just felt like sharing it today to keep alive a sweet moment in my life. :) Peace. ✨

Erase all my pain
I’m lost in this train

Even the most intimate of relationships sometimes gets lost with time. May be for differences in ideologies in life or just priorities.
Two best friends once upon a time, now don’t even look to each other. Deep within they both remember each other everyday, but just like time, the space between them also expands. They befriend new persons in life, they grow, they bloom, not always though. And that’s how life is. A change in perpetuity.

In this lifeless town,
As the lights go down,
Lie here with me for now.

An introvert anxious being craves for the human connection with his friends. Though he tried to befriend them, he is unable to get their attention. They are busy in their own lives in their pursuit of music. The only way out was to silently accept the reality and move on. Move on to a diff world where he is the king of his own world. Where he plays with his own colors and don’t give a f**k about what the world thinks of. A world through his own heart. And only his. ✨
