Teachersโ Day was observed with enthusiasm at Raja Govind Chandra Aarsh Gurukulam, Dayanand Durg, Wasaikhong, Diyungbra, Dima Hasao district, Assam, in the presence of Honโble Member of Parliament Shri former MLA Shri , , Chairman, Block Development, Karbi Anglong, along with respected citizens from the Hills and Plains districts of Assam.
Before the commencement of the programme, the Honโble MP and other guests paid homage to the Dimaraji martyrs at the memorial constructed during the peace talks with the Government of Assam.
During the programme, MP Shri Amar Sing Tiso assured support for the infrastructure development of the Gurukulam through MPLAD funds. He also encouraged the teachers and students through his address and emphasized the importance of education and the role of teachers in society.
On the occasion, Shri Sakun Lal Daudung Langthasa, President, Dimasa Peoples Council (DPC), Assam West Karbi Anglong District Committee, submitted a written memorandum to MP Shri Amar Sing Tiso seeking construction and improvement of connectivity on three proposed routes:
โข Hajagefer to Sambaria, Lanka, via Alisinga and Hamrum.
โข Maijiahadi, West Karbi Anglong to Lanka, via Bordolong, Lanka Bheta Tribal Belt and Block area.
โข Hawaipur Market to Lanka Railway Station, via Machaga and Jamuguri in West Karbi Anglong district.
The Managing Committee expressed its gratitude to Honโble MP Shri Amar Sing Tiso and his colleagues for attending the Teachersโ Day programme and extending their support and cooperation towards making the event a grand success.
The message was shared by Shri Dilip Nunisa, President, Raja Govind Chandra Aarsh Gurukulam, Wasaikhong, Diyungbra, and President, Dimasa Supreme Council, Central Committee, Assam.
