Huge Quantity Bhutan Liquor Seized in Dooars

A joint team from Alipurduar and Birpara Excise Departments seized 9 cartons of Bhutan whisky, 10 cartons of beer, a mobile phone, and a car from Ramjhora Munda Line in Madarihat. One person was arrested, and a case has been filed, officials confirmed.

Today Malbazar Police Station received information that some people are cultivating o***m on the Teesta river bed of Gajoldoba near Teesta Field Firing Range under Odlabari GP area. Accordingly, Mal Thana IC Soumyajit Malik along with the team of Malbazar Police Station visited the spot and himself contacted BLLRO of Malbazar and he appointed an RI to survey the land and after survey of the land the details of the land were found as government land. Police administration tried to identify the farmers but no one came forward for identification. After that all the plants of about 2 bigha o***m were destroyed. However, police are still trying to identify the farmers and legal action will be taken as per law.
