1. Lord Shiva is known as the only deity who embraces both extremes — he is the fierce destroyer and also the peaceful yogi, immersed in deep meditation.
2. His throat turned blue (Neelkanth) after he drank the deadly poison Halahala during the churning of the ocean (Samudra Manthan) to save the universe.
3. Shiva’s third eye is not just symbolic — it represents his inner perception and has the power to destroy evil, illusion, and ego with a single glance.
4. Although associated with destruction, Shiva is also the god of transformation — his destruction paves the way for creation and renewal.
