Himachal Pradesh in snow feels like a pause button on life. When winter arrives, these mountains don’t just change colour — they change your breathing, your pace, your thoughts. Fresh snowfall turns roads into white ribbons, pine forests into silent paintings, and small villages into postcard frames. Every turn feels unreal, every stop feels cinematic. The cold air bites gently, but the calm it brings stays much longer.

Watching Himachal from above hits differently. These aerial perspectives, captured on DJI Global drone, reveal patterns the eyes miss — winding mountain roads, frozen rivers, snow-laden rooftops, and clouds flowing between valleys like slow poetry. From drone shots to ground-level moments, this is winter travel at its purest. No filters needed when nature already knows the perfect colour grade.

Snow-covered Himachal is not just about destinations like Manali, Shimla, or Spiti — it’s about the feeling of standing still while the mountains move you. The silence after snowfall, the crunch under your boots, the warmth of chai against icy winds — everything feels heightened.

For travel lovers, winter road trips, cinematic drone visuals, mountain landscapes, and raw Himalayan beauty, Himachal Pradesh in snow is an experience that stays etched forever. Sometimes, all you need is altitude, snowfall, and a little distance from noise to feel alive again.

Winter at Kolukkumalai Peak feels like stepping into a world that shouldn’t exist on a normal map. As the first light touches the hills, the entire valley turns into a floating ocean of clouds—soft, endless, and mesmerising. Standing above these cloud beds, you realise why Kolukkumalai is one of the highest tea estates in the world and one of the most magical sunrise points in South India. The winter wind here carries a different kind of silence, a calm that slowly settles into your bones as you watch the sun paint gold over the mountains.

The rugged trails, the crisp air, the chilled mist brushing your face—every moment at Kolukkumalai Peak becomes a reminder of how incredible nature is when you meet it at the right hour. This winter morning wasn’t just a view; it was an experience that felt almost spiritual. If you’re searching for a destination that blends adventure, serenity, and breathtaking landscapes, then Kolukkumalai in winter should be on top of your travel list. Watching the cloud beds roll like slow waves beneath your feet is a memory that stays long after you leave.

There are road trips… and then there is winter in Arunachal Pradesh — a journey that feels straight out of a dream. The drive to Tawang in peak winter is not just a route, it’s an experience carved through frozen valleys, icy waterfalls, snow-dusted bridges, and mountains wrapped in white silence. Every turn from Bhalukpong to Dirang to Sela Pass felt unreal, like the Himalayas were revealing their winter magic one frame at a time.

Crossing Sela Pass in winter is a moment you never forget — thin air, sharp cold, sparkling snowfields, and a calm so powerful it almost pauses time. The road ahead feels tough, but the raw beauty pulls you forward. Tawang itself is a different world: peaceful monasteries, prayer flags dancing in icy winds, steaming local food keeping you warm, and crisp winter light turning everything cinematic.

This road trip is for those who crave real adventure, for travellers who chase untouched landscapes, high-altitude roads, winter mountains, and that feeling of being far from the ordinary. Arunachal in winter teaches you patience, gratitude, and the pure joy of slow, scenic travel.

If you’re searching for a journey that stays in your heart long after it ends, this is the one.

There’s something magnetic about a world map — especially for someone who lives to travel. But this one from stopped me in my tracks. The moment I saw this handcrafted wooden world map, I knew it had to be the main highlight of my studio wall. The texture, the depth, the precision… it doesn’t just decorate the space, it transforms it.

With the warm wooden backdrop and the contrasting blue and amber lights, the entire wall now feels like a live travel mood-board. The continents, the tiny aircraft cutouts, the highlighted India piece — everything pulls you in with that explorer energy. It’s the kind of art that silently reminds you of places you’ve lived, places you’ve dreamt of, and the corners of the world still calling your name.

I researched The Map Store’s collection deeply before choosing this one — the build quality, the colours, the layering, the finish… everything felt premium and crafted for travellers who see maps as emotions, not objects. This wooden world map adds character, aesthetic depth, and that wanderlust vibe every creator studio needs.

If you’re someone who breathes travel, this is more than décor — it’s inspiration on your wal

I start exploring Udaipur at 10 in the morning, and the city instantly pulls me in. The first stop is Lake Pichola, glowing under the late-morning sun. Boats drift slowly, the ghats feel alive, and Jag Mandir and Taj Lake Palace float in the distance like something straight out of a dream. It’s that rare moment where the view hits you before the thought does — pure wanderlust.

By noon, I walk into the massive City Palace, and suddenly everything feels slower, richer. The courtyards, the carvings, the glasswork — every corner reminds me how deep Rajasthan’s heritage and culture runs. From the balconies, Lake Pichola looks unreal, almost painted. Standing there, I finally get why Udaipur is called the Venice of the East. This isn’t just a place to see; it’s a place you feel. The kind of experience that sticks with you long after you leave.

Evening takes me back to the lake. I sit near the palace walls and watch the sky turn gold, then orange, then pink and purple. The city lights slowly switch on, reflecting in the water like tiny sparks. It’s not just a sunset — it’s a memory. A moment that makes one day in Udaipur feel like a whole story.

This city doesn’t just show you beauty. It hands you moments you carry home.

Day 15 / Part 2 :
Dzukou Valley is one of those rare places that still feels untouched — raw, pure and unbelievably beautiful. When you finally reach the valley and see those endless green curves, it feels like a different world. The silence, the cold wind, the open sky… everything about Dzukou hits differently. And honestly, a place this raw doesn’t need luxury to feel special.

There is a forest rest house here, privately managed, which itself is a big thing considering how remote this valley is. The caretakers live here, manage the place, cook simple food, and even offer private rooms for around ₹1500. Naturally, when you hear there are rooms, caretakers and charges, you expect at least basic cleanliness — especially in dorms and toilets.

But the truth is: the rooms are extremely basic, the bedding is old, and the washrooms were in very weak condition. The dorm toilet area was completely untidy and not maintained. Ladies especially might feel the discomfort, because hygiene and privacy in the washrooms are not at all up to the mark. Even with caretakers around, the cleaning situation really needs improvement.

So if you plan to stay here, keep your expectations simple. Carry your own sleeping bag, because the bedding doesn’t feel fresh. And if possible, take or rent a tent — it gives better privacy and honestly feels cleaner than the shared washrooms.

But despite the rough stay, Dzukou Valley is worth every step, every climb, and even every discomfort. This valley teaches you that nature doesn’t need perfection — it already is perfect. The stay may not impress you… but the valley will stay with you forever.

Nagaland • North East India • Dzukou Valley Trek • Travel India • Honest Travel Experience

Trekking to Dzukou Valley in Nagaland was one of those journeys that truly tests you, pushes you, and then rewards you in a way only North East India can. The first one hour felt like a battle with gravity—steep incline, uneven steps, and that moment when your mind quietly whispers, “Maybe it’s better to turn back.” I felt it too. That point where the climb gets real, your breath grows heavier, and doubt sneaks in.

But something inside pushed me to continue. And I’m glad I listened.

Because the moment I stepped into Dzukou Valley, everything transformed.

It felt like entering another world—endless rolling hills, a green carpet stretching across the horizon, clouds drifting close enough to touch, and a silence so peaceful it felt sacred. The trail suddenly turned flat, my legs felt lighter, and my energy shot back to the top. It’s amazing how nature in North East India knows exactly when to challenge you and when to embrace you.

That first view made every tough step worth it. The valley didn’t just open up—it welcomed me. It gave me space to breathe, to slow down, and to feel small in the best possible way.

Dzukou Valley isn’t just a trek; it’s an emotion. A reminder that the hardest climbs often lead to the calmest places. If you’ve been dreaming of exploring Nagaland or want to experience one of the most surreal treks in North East India, this is the journey that stays with you long after you return.
