Carmelite Brothers of Pushpashrama, Mysuru won the Rolling Championship Trophy in the 14th Mysuru Diocesan Level Carol Singing Competition on Dec 3, 2018.

Carmelites of KG Province who had gathered for the Plenary Council celebrated the Province Day on Nov 27 at Sadbhavana, Bengaluru.

After the Euchrist, the Friars gathered in the Refectory to facilitate Fr. Charles Serrao, Provincial as well as those who are celebrating the Silver Jubilee of Ordination and Relgiious Profession.

Fr. Wilfred Frank raised the toast for Fr. Provincial and Fr. Pius James for the Jubilarians. Fr. Joachim Rodrigues conducted Carmelite Saints Housey Housey and Fr. Wilfred Rodrigues compered the program.

The Carmelite Fathers and Brothers of Karnataka Goa Province came together around the Eucharistic table to thank God for all the blessings showered on the Province and the members on Nov 27-28 at Sadbhavana, Bengaluru.
Rev. Fr. Charles Serrao, the Provincial presided over the Eucharistic celebration and Dr. John Sequeira preached an enlightening homily.
It was also a moment to thank and pry for all the benefactors and donors who sacrifice their time and energy in helping the Carmelites to carry on the mission of Jesus.

Carmelite Family of Bangalore came to gather on Nov 21 at Apostolic Carmel Generalate, Jayanagar Bangalore for a day's interaction and sharing.
Carmelite family consists of all the Carmelite Congregations serving in the Archdiocese of Bangalore. Rev. Fr. Charles Serrao, Provincial Superior of the Carmelites celebrated the Holy Eucharist and delivered a meaningful homily. Fr. Jeevan Tauro delivered the key note address and Fr. Stifan Perera conducted the group dynamics.

“I Brother so and so… vow to Almighty God Chastity, poverty and Obedience…” these courageous words resonated in the little oratory of Tapovana, Kushalnagar on November 14, 2018 whereby the ancient Carmelite Order inducted TEN more youngsters into its contemplative fold. Almost 200 faithful and around 42 priests hemmed in.

Fr. Charles Serrao, Provincial who received the vows while Rev Fr. Arulraj, OCD, Provincial of Tamil Nadu who had to receive the vows of one of his own novice, delivered a substantial homily harping on that there is no Religious Life without personal bond with Jesus Christ, prayer life and Community life. ‘To walk in His Footsteps’ was the theme of the Novices that adorned the unique bricked façade of the oratory. While Fr. anil Prashanth steered the well planned ceremony, our Pushpashrama brothers made angelic melody at choir.

Tapovana marks 21 years of its presence and serves as Novitiate of KG Province since 2001. Bendigamos al Senor!
