What do you do in a situation like this? Well, first, you roll down your window and try to communicate with the car beside you like you’re in some sort of vehicular United Nations. “Hey, do you think we’ll get out of here by dinner?” you ask optimistically. The driver nods, but the look on his face suggests he’s more hopeful about seeing unicorns.
So, when you think of North Sikkim, feel free to reminisce about its majestic peaks and shimmering lakes. But remember to embrace the unexpected hilarity of a vehicle jam on a stiff mountain cliff, where time slows down, new friendships are forged, and goats just might be the best traffic cops you might ever encounter.
