Define your Target Audience : Reach the people who want to hear from you.
1. Create an audience : As you create your target online audience. Think about characteristics that your current customers have in common, such as demographics, location and interests. Then, broaden or narrow that audience based on your population size.
( keep an eye on the audience meter. Which will let you know whether your audience is too specific, too broad or just right)
2. Detailed targeting : Using detailed targeting like adding " interest" targeting may lead to smaller audience, but it may also help better target your ad's to an audience more likely to respond to your ads.
Types of Targeting Audience:
1. New Customers :
This is the default selection for your ad set in Ads Manager. Attract new customers by refining your new audience with categories like location, demographics, interests and behaviors.
2. Custome / Retarget Customers:
Custom Audiences allow you to connect with and retarget people who have already shown interest in your business, whether they’re loyal customers or people who have used your app or visited your website.
Custom audiences allow you to target users that:
•Visited your website
•Use your app
•On your customer list
•Engage with your profiles and content
3. Lookalike Customers:
Using your custom audiences as a source, you can target your ads to new audiences but resemble your existing audiences with the Advantage Lookalike.
To create a Lookalike Audience, you’ll choose a Custom Audience to act as a source audience.
Remember You decide who sees your ad and where.
Once your ad starts running, meta system will learn who is engaging with it and, over time, narrow your audience so you reach more of the right people.
