🚛🔋 Truckers in distress!
Tipper truck owners from Sanvordem, Curchorem & Kalay have filed a police complaint after a spate of battery thefts from their vehicles.
💬 “Batteries cost upwards of ₹10,000, and owners are already struggling due to lack of work,” said the Truck Owners Association.
Truckers are demanding swift police action as these thefts add to their financial burden.

The rains have been generous this year, filling up Goa's reservoirs and rivers, but in Zor-vaddo, a ward of Chapora in Anjuna, residents still turn their taps only to find emptiness. For years now, the families of Ward 5 under Anjuna panchayat have lived with a cruel routine water flows for a day, then disappears for five. Those living on the ward's higher ground say the little supply that does reach the area never makes it uphill. On Friday, the affected residents once again marched to the PWD office, led by the AAP to press for equitable water distribution.

The Goa government has disbursed a fuel subsidy of Rs 39.38 lakh to 86 private bus owners under the Goa State Fuel Subsidy to Private Stage Carriage Operators Scheme, 2014. The subsidy, approved by Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant, covers verified claims for the period between July 2018 and March 2019. Transport Minister Mauvin Godinho distributed the subsidy at his New Vaddem office in Vasco on Friday.
