Two juveniles escape from Apna Ghar, Merces

Two juveniles lodged at Apna Ghar, Merces for being in conflict with the law escaped from the facility on Sunday. The management is yet to file an official police complaint, while a search is underway to trace both juveniles in the surrounding areas.
The escape has once again raised concerns about the security at the rehabilitation facility.

Police to probe Dinesh Gaude’s death amid doubts over bison attack claim

Deputy Conservator of Forests Jess K Varkey writes to SP South Santosh Desai demanding police investigation into the death of Dinesh Gaude (48, Usgao) at Bethoda after loopholes are found in the claims of Bison attack during the investigation by Forest Department.
Forest Min Vishwajit Rane said that the police investigation is necessitated as “nothing can be ruled out.”
