Bishop Valence Mendis of The Diocese of Kandy & Bishop Vianney Fernando, Bishop Emeritus of Kandy, Sri Lanka celebrated Sunday Mass at Our Lady of Rosary Church, Fatorda, Goa, on 01/02/2026 at 9.30 am, concebrated by the Parish Priest,Fr Mario D'Costa, his two assistants, Fr Melwin Gomes & Fr Sheldon D'Souza & Fr Eremito Rebelo. The Purpose of the above Celebration was to make the people of Fatorda aware that there was born at Fatorda, a Saintly Missionary, Fr Pedro Ferrao who was a Miracles-worker, who died & lie buried in Sri Lanka. His palacial house was on left side of the main road leading from Fatorda Stadium to Mathany Saldanha Complex. Many years ago, the ancestors of Fatordkars had named is as: "Fr Pedro Ferrao Road
