"For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?" (Mark 8:36)

In today’s world, many families are caught in the relentless pursuit of success, wealth, and status. Parents work tirelessly to provide the best for their children—education, comfort, and opportunities. But in this pursuit, we must pause and ask: Are we also nurturing their souls?

Fr. Eremito Rebelo reminds us that a true legacy is not in material wealth but in the values we instill—faith, love, and righteousness. A family that prays together, stays together. No achievement in the world is worth losing our faith, our moral compass, or the sacred bond of family.

As we strive for success, let us not forget to prioritize God in our homes. Let our children see in us a faith that is lived, not just preached. For in the end, our greatest treasure is not the world we gain, but the soul we keep.
