Karnataka’s new education policy has removed MARKS for the 3rd language — now it’s just GRADES.
Sounds small? It’s not.
When marks disappear, importance disappears.
Today:
Students choose Tulu, Konkani, Kodava
Tomorrow?
Will our native languages slowly fade from classrooms?
Languages don’t die overnight.
They fade… silently… when we stop valuing them.
Marks may be removed.
But responsibility is not.
If we don’t learn, speak, and pass it on —
who will?
